WikiKinome is a project of the Manning lab at the Salk Institute. Its goal is to provide information on kinase function, sequence, and evolution, that tends not to be captured by traditional publication: specific detailed results that don't add up to a paper, unusual findings that never get around to be published, and both 'big-picture' and detailed results and interpretation that are useful to fellow-researchers, but don't fit within the scope of most published papers. The site will include information on individual kinases and kinase classes tied into our KinBase database, along with standalone perspectives on larger-scale topics.

Initial content is generated by members of the Manning lab, but we welcome collaborators to contribute their own data and even expand the gamut of this site, within the overall goal of publishing accurate and useful information to help the kinase research community.
