Kinase Classification: Group PKL: Family RIO

Rio kinases are found in all eukaryotes and archaea and are involved in ribosome biogenesis and in cell cycle [1].

The RIO family has 3 subfamilies; RIO1 and RIO2 are found in all eukaryotes, and RIO3 is found in all animals.
