Kinase Classification: Group Other: Kinase Family RESK

RESK stands for REmote Secreted Kinases. It contains the SgK493 gene found in the original kinome analysis, a recently identified FAM69 subfamily and the DIA/DIA1R genes. Most members consist of a pseudokinase domain of highly divergent sequence and usually have a signal peptide at their N terminus. All have a number of highly conserved cysteines.

The RESK family has the following subfamilies:

Subfamily SgK493

Subfamily FAM69A

Subfamily FAM69C

Subfamily DIA1
